Quick answer: To cut a part out of an audio file, drop the file into the tool at the top of this page, set where the part you want starts and ends, and press "Cut audio". iLoveAudioVideo does the work in your browser, so the file is never uploaded. It is free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no file size limit.

How it works

  1. Drop your audio fileMP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC, OGG and more. It stays on your computer.
  2. Set start and endPlay it, pause where you want and press "Set to current", or type the times.
  3. Download the MP3Only the part you chose, ready for any player.

Exact to a tenth of a second

Play the file, pause where the part should start and press Set to current, then do the same for the end. You can also type the times, for example 1:23.4. The tool shows the new length before you start.

Any audio file, any length

MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC, OGG and voice notes all work, and so do videos: only their sound is kept. Hour-long recordings are fine, because the file is read from your disk instead of being uploaded.

Why your audio never leaves your computer

Online converters upload your file to their servers, convert it there and send it back. That is slow for long recordings, so free plans cap the length or the number of files, and your recording sits on someone else's computer.

Here your own computer does the work, inside this tab. Nothing is uploaded, so there is nothing to cap: no length limit, no daily limit and no sign-up.
