How it works
- Drop your videoThe file is read on your computer, never uploaded.
- ConvertThe picture is made small and the sound mono, to suit old phones.
- Download the 3GPA small file that plays on old and basic phones.
Small on purpose
The picture is at most 320×240 at 15 frames a second, and the sound is mono. That is small and plain, but it is what old phones can play. Our 20-second sample came out at 561 KB and took 10 seconds.
It looks rough on a big screen
Because the picture is so small, 3GP looks soft on a computer or modern phone. If your phone plays MP4, you do not need this. To go back, see 3GP to MP4.
It may not preview here
Browsers often cannot play 3GP, so the preview in the page may stay blank. Download the file and open it on the phone; that works.
Measured, not promised
Measured on 21 Oct 2026 in Chrome on a 2019 Intel MacBook (an older laptop) with a 20-second 720p sample. Longer videos take longer; real files vary. More results.
Why your video never leaves your computer
Your video is processed by your own computer, inside this tab, and never uploaded. That is why there is no size limit and no watermark. How it works.
