Privacy
Your audio and video files are processed entirely inside your browser. They are never uploaded to us or anyone else.
What happens to your files
Audio & video to text
Files you choose are read by this page on your device and transcribed there. The transcript exists only in your browser tab until you copy or download it. Closing the tab discards it.
Video tools
A video you choose is read by this page on your device and processed there. While the result is being made, it is written to a private storage area that only this site can use in your browser. The result stays there until you start another job in the same tab, or until any job a day or more later, which removes it. You can also clear it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
What is downloaded
Audio & video to text
The site's pages and code come from our server. The speech engine is downloaded once from a third-party file host, which, like any website, receives your IP address and browser details for that download. Your browser then keeps it so it does not need to download it again.
Video tools
The site downloads the pages and code needed to process your video, including extra code that some videos need. Your video is not part of these requests.
What is stored on your device
The page keeps a small note in your browser's local storage with the result of the device speed check (for example, which quality suits your computer) so it does not need to repeat it. It contains no personal information and never leaves your device. You can clear it, and the downloaded speech engine, by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
What we do not do
No account is needed. Your recordings and transcripts are processed on your device; we do not receive their contents.
Advertising
Ads are served by Google, which may use cookies or device identifiers to show and measure ads. Google receives information such as your IP address and the page you visit. Your files still stay on your device.
