How it works

  1. Drop your videoMP4, MOV, WEBM or MKV, any size. It stays on your computer.
  2. Choose how"Smaller, same look" for a big saving without visible loss, or an exact size such as 10 MB. You see the result before you start.
  3. DownloadPreview the result, then save it. Exact sizes are checked before you download.

Made to fit under 10 MB

Discord rejects a file that is even a little over the limit, so the tool checks the size before you download. If a file cannot get under 10 MB, the tool tells you, so you do not find out from Discord.

Without Nitro the limit is 10 MB. If you have Nitro Basic or Nitro, pick the larger size for a sharper result.

Getting the best quality into 10 MB

The shorter the clip, the sharper it looks in 10 MB: a 30-second clip fits at about 750p, a two-minute clip at about 360p. The tool picks the picture size for you and shows it before you start. Shorter clips look much better, so trim the moment you want to share first with the video trimmer.

Game clips from OBS, ShadowPlay or the Xbox Game Bar work directly. Smooth 60 fps clips are brought down to 30 fps when the size is tight, which keeps each frame sharper.

Why your video never leaves your computer

Online video tools upload your file to their servers, process it there, and send it back. That is slow for big videos and costs them money for every minute, so free plans cap your file size or add watermarks, and your video sits on someone else's computer.

Here your own computer does the work, inside this tab. Nothing is uploaded, so there is nothing to cap: no file size limit, no daily limit and no watermark.

Questions

What is Discord's file size limit?

10 MB for free accounts. Nitro Basic and Nitro raise it; check your plan in Discord's settings.

Will my clip be uploaded to your site?

No. It is compressed in your browser; the only upload is when you send the finished file to Discord.

Is it really free?

Yes. Your computer does the work, so a video costs us nothing to process. No account, no watermark, no limits.

Is my video uploaded?

No. It is processed inside this browser tab and saved straight back to your computer.

Which browsers work?

Recent Chrome, Edge and Safari on a computer. Chrome and Edge are fastest on most machines. Phones work for short videos.

How long does it take?

In Chrome, a one-minute 1080p video took 13–19 seconds on the laptops we tested and about 40 seconds on a computer without a graphics chip. Safari can be slower.

Can I close the tab while it works?

Keep the tab open and in front until it finishes. Browsers slow down background tabs.
